Hackens Ranch Branding

Dean Hackens is a cowboy and cattleman and I may add a good friend. He doesn't miss those double hockers very often.

Derek Anderson and Julia Reinhold had the important jobs making sure that the vaccinations and worming were being done right. They heard their names called often. Good job you two.

These two have been wrestling calves for years. Rachel and Molly Reinhold make a good team and yes they "get 'er done".

Rachel proved a worthy hand with a loop today as well. Good job Cowgirl.

Kiersten was very helpful today as well. This is right down her ally.

Robin had an enjoyable time today. She was able to do quite a little roping. I might add that she was extremely pleased with her favorite roan horse...but she has always been pleased with favorite roan horses.

Since Julia had the task of "pouring". She had to wait till every thing was done on each calf...and when the ropers were keeping us really busy, a team of wrestlers could not be sitting idle for very long. So we heard "Julia, Julia, Julia" a lot. She was always always smiling.

Caleb Clark is also part of our crew when we tackle big projects. Caleb has worked at RBR many summers and now has been full time for just over a year. Thank you Sir.

Robin and I so appreciate the time that our oldest son, Danny, takes in helping and teaching his little sisters.

We had a good time branding at the Hackens Ranch today. Everyone worked well together and diligently. Julia and Kiersten got in the action from numerous angles today, including holding some calves. Not bad for 10 and 8 years of age.
