"I ENJOYED"
"HUNTIN' WABBITS" AND SHARPTAILS
The family enjoyed a good day of hunting... however it is not just deer season. Cottontail and sharptails were part of the fare as well today. They do well on the Great Plains of western South Dakota. By the way, after all the game was processed, it went to the freezer to held for our Annual Game Feed in March.

HUNTING CANADA GEESE
We are so grateful for the nice weather... Our ice and snow all melted and for us boys of the Western South Dakota Plains.. that means the the ducks and geese may land on our stock dams. This morning there were over fifty Canada Geese on Reinhold Lake. Danny and Caleb were able to bag three Canada Geese and one duck. They were pretty pleased. Dad was quite proud to say the least.

Danny's First Shotgun
Danny has proved quite frugal with his money and this fall he purchased his first shotgun. We were able to go out before chores and school in the chill of the morning. We got a duck and a Hungarian Partridge. It has been fun hunting with the kids.

A NICE BROWN
This brown trout is only three years old and measured 22" long. Where... ? The Lonetree in Meade County, South Dakota.
NICE FISH
We take photos nearly every day. It is our pictorial journal for the family, ranch and Rainbow. On May 21, 2012 Rachel caught this beautiful largemouth bass here at the ranch in Reinhold Dam. (Good news is... water is running and the water levels are getting higher. God is filling up the ponds and reservoirs.)
