Everything was against us this afternoon when we crawled over the hill. From the wind, to the location of the antelope, to the slope of the hill, to the horses in the background.

We almost went home.

Then he moved. And we took a chance.

We ran, crawled and slid our way to where we thought he was. Finally we saw some horn tips and watched him bed down. We inched our way on top of him and waited. I prayed that if this was the buck that God had for me this year that He would just line things up and I’d get a good clean shot!

And then one thing after another lined up!From our location and the direction of wind just blowing our scent by him and a doe, to the horses moving out in the other direction, to a clean shot. I’m so thankful!
